Spiritual Emphasis
Four years ago, we challenged students to build their lives on the firm foundation of God’s promises to us as outlined in the Beatitudes. 2020-2021: Matthew 7:24 - 27: Therefore, whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock…
The following year, we continued by teaching the core tenants of servant leadership such as being encouraging, listening, being respectful, and making the right choices. 2021-2022: Matthew 20:26 Whoever wants to be a leader among you must first be a servant...
Two years ago, we focused on seeking Christ first by actively practicing gratitude, obedience, meditation, and continued dialogue with Him. 2022-2023: Matthew 6:33 - Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you.
Last year, we endeavored to lead students to the next logical step, to challenge them to answer Christ’s call found in Ephesians Chapter 4, verses 1-6, where we are challenged to live lives worthy of His calling to share HIS LIGHT.
This year, we are entering the next phase of our journey to grow servant leaders who share God’s love with our community–and beyond. Our theme of spiritual emphasis is based on Matthew 28:19: Go ye therefore and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
At Carman, we desire to make the choices that will ensure that we are worthy of His call so that we may Go Ye THEREFORE… and share HIS LIGHT with everyone we meet!
