Spiritual Emphasis
As a unique Seventh-day Adventist community, we intentionally create meaningful experiences and diverse opportunities for our students to meet Jesus.

We work closely with the Marietta SDA Church pastoral staff to give students opportunities to learn, serve, share, and lead. Through daily classroom worships, weekly pastoral visits, weekly chapel programs, service projects, and community outreach — Jesus is central to everything we do.
​
Character education is infused in everything we do. We want our students to have a clear picture of what it means to be a true Christian in this world — following Jesus' example by standing up for what is right, treating everyone with respect and compassion, and sharing God's love in simple yet profoundly impactful ways.

Every year, we challenge our students to go on a spiritual journey with us. Over a five-year cycle, we delve into various aspects of fulfilling God's will for our lives.

2025–2026: We build our lives on the firm foundation of God's promises as outlined in the Beatitudes. "Therefore, whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock…" — Matthew 7:24–27
​
2026–2027: We explore the core tenets of servant leadership — being encouraging, listening well, showing respect, and making right choices. "Whoever wants to be a leader among you must first be a servant…"

2027–2028: We dive deeper by seeking Christ first — actively practicing gratitude, obedience, meditation, and continued dialogue with Him. "Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you." — Matthew 6:33
​
2028–2029: We lead students to answer the call found in Ephesians 4:1–6, where we are challenged to live lives worthy of His calling — and to share His Light. "I therefore... beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called…" — Ephesians 4:1
​
2029–2030: We enter the final phase of our journey, growing servant leaders who share God's love with our community — and beyond. "Go ye therefore and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit." — Matthew 28:19

At Carman, we desire to make choices that ensure we are worthy of His call — so that we may Go Ye THEREFORE and share HIS LIGHT with everyone we meet!
